I've seen people talking about the last screenshot on Tumblr a bit, but I’m almost at the end of a marathon of LoK and i was surprised at how often (and how early on) Korra is associated with the bi colours. The rest of the pics are just a few examples from Book 2 (from Beginnings & A New Spiritual Age respectively), but there are so many more. Every part of animation is painstakingly crafted, and this happens too frequently to be anything but deliberate.

It's particularly noticeable when you compare the colouring of LoK to that of AtLA. LoK is specifically, repeatedly emphasising a colour palette that isn't used in the same way or degree in AtLA. which means it is meaningful to Korra, not to the Avatar universe.

Oh wow, I never even noticed this! You're so right. That has to be deliberate. I love it! Also, the giant blue Korra who defeats Unalok at the end of season two - she couldn't access her avatar state, so she used her own power (if I remember rightly).

Right?! It's so cool! And it just totally confirms that Korrassami wasn't something they just threw in at the end to please the shippers, they've been planning and hinting at Korra being bi for seasons.

This is making me flail all over the place. I love this show and the creators so much. The only reason I want kids is so they can be raised on Korra and Aang.

I was shipping Korra and Asami from the start, from the moment Korra gets in the car with her. The ending of that show is still making me happy, and to find out that it was a plan? Unimaginable giddiness.

Saaaame! And I can't wait to have kids so I can sit down with them in front of ATLA & LOK! They're such great shows with really wonderful, positive messages.

I didn't actually start watching LOK until I saw the reactions to the finale. I'd been meaning to for years, but hearing the news about Korrassami drove me to finally watch it--and, aha, yeah, that scene in the car got me too. They're so cute together.

No worries, happy to share my glee. :D
